Moto Iron Vintage Springer Front End For Harley-Davidson Frames w/ 1" Neck

If you ride a Harley-Davidson, traditional looks obviously appeal to you. If you want to take your bike a step further and tap into a classic front end with a style that transcends fads and trends, look no further.

The Vintage line within the Moto Iron series of springers is designed to mimic the great looks of Knuck-era Harley front ends. They also allow you to avoid the hefty cost and safety concerns that come with using an original unit on a modern bike that is likely significantly heavier and faster than a WWII-era machine. Made of new material, the springers feature TIG welding for neat, strong welds, and greaseable components for an authentic look as well as longevity.

You'll also find 1" diameter front legs to help these springers offer a high level of strength relative to originals, and they're also set up to accommodate modern wheels and disc brakes. All of these features contribute to safety, which has to be top-of-mind when fitting a springer.

Stock-length measurement based on 23" as measured from the upper surface (near the bearing) of the top of the arch in the lower tree to the centerline of the axle vertically.

Fender mounts 105-0144 or 105-0145 and fender 105-0051 can only be used in conjunction with this springer when using a 2000-2007 Sportster wheel (OEM, 115-0052, 115-0054115-0053, or 115-0055) with narrowglide wheel spacer kit 115-0069.

  • Measurements of this springer are taken from the top of the arch in the bottom tree (where the bearing sits) vertically to the axle centerline
  • Note that the 23" stock distance is in reference to a hydraulic front end; if you are using an original 1936-1948 fork as a basis for comparison, the distance is shorter (approximately 20")
  • All known factory applications will require modification to braking system; stock calipers cannot be used, most stock brake hoses cannot be used; rotor may be reusable (11.5" required); master cylinder may be reusable depending on bore size (incorrect fittings may be accounted for using adapters)
  • Brake caliper kits 116-0050 and 116-0059 are compatible with this springer and may be used with stock master cylinders utilizing a 9/16" bore
  • Springer will accept 1984-1999 Harley Softail wideglide wheels; other wheels may not be usable without modifications including custom wheel spacers and custom brakes
  • Fits most Harley-Davidson Big Twin from 1949-2017 exc. Dyna (FXD, FLD)

  • Will fit 1952-1956 Harley-Davidson K model if neck cups are converted to later 1" style using P/N 112-0013
  • Will fit 1957-1981 Harley-Davidson Sportster if neck cups are converted to later 1" style using P/N 112-0013
  • Not for use on FLT or Touring models with reverse trees
