Safety is paramount with the Moto Iron series of springers, which is why strong one-piece rear legs are employed, not butt-welded multi-piece affairs used by other manufacturers. TIG welding is employed for neat, strong welds.

You'll also find beefy 1" diameter front legs to help these springers offer a high level of strength, all at at a price that cannot be beaten. Examine the competition and see what you're getting when you choose a Moto Iron springer. Construction details matter, and if you add it all up, it's easy see why these are one of the safest, most durable options on the market. Don't rely on a swap meet special that probably needs work, likely isn't the best cosmetically, and might not be up to snuff safety-wise.

It's common when converting to springers to use Harley-Davidson components as "universal" since the selection of parts including wheels, tires, brakes, and sheet metal are more common. Because of that, this fork doesn't allow stock XS650 wheel and brake components to be reused. Instead, you'll use compatible Harley-Davidson pattern parts.

Fender mounts 105-0144 or 105-0145 and fender 105-0051 can be used in conjunction with this springer when using a 2000-2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster wheel (OEM, 115-0052, 115-0054, 115-0053, or 115-0055) with narrowglide wheel spacer kit 115-0069.
