Moto Iron 2.2 Gal. Axed Gas Tank

Compact and sleek, the classic axed tank has lines that can't be beat.

  • 3.1 gallon capacity
  • Pressure-tested
  • Accepts bayonet-style (cam-lock) fuel cap; not included
  • Threaded ports to accept either 3/8" petcock or 1/4" petcock
    • Unused port will need to be plugged; plugs available separately
  • Tongue-type mounts
  • 18" tab-to-tab, tank body 15-3/4"

Though these tanks are pressure tested from the factory, pressure testing before applying filler or paint is standard practice. If needed, you may elect to seal with a tank sealer before painting. For the same reason, we encourage thorough, solid mountingā€”stress on the tank or mounting hardware will eventually lead to cracks.
