This vented gas cap is compatible with:

All single-cap Harley-Davidson OE or aftermarket fuel tanks requiring a vented bayonet-style cap
Left-and right-side fitment on all 1936-1964 Big Twin OEM dual tanks
Right side fitment only on all 1965-1982 Big Twin OEM dual tanks
Left-and-right side fitment on many aftermarket Big Twin dual tanks w/ early-style filler necks
Not for use with tanks equipped with screw-in style fillers
We recommend purchasing these in pairs; fitment to the tank is broad, but there were variations in the caps' external appearances between years and models

A quick and easy check to see if this cap will work with your tanks is to install a cap on both fillers. If the same cap (regardless of what it is) fits both sides, this cap will replace both sides. If your fuel cap fits only one side, your left side tank will require a separate non-vented cap.
