S&S Kicker Cover for 1936-1986 Harley-Davidson Big Twin

Chrome aftermarket covers don't have the right look, especially for an early- or early-appearing motorcycle, and factory ones are often in need of repair or priced stratospherically. S&S has a good solution.

  • Inside, the cast area around the kicker boss has been reinforced; arguably the greatest point of failure on OE covers
  • Uses a single kicker shaft bushing
    • Eliminates dry outer bushing failures like the OE can suffer
  • Sealed using a modern small diameter seal for the kicker shaft, but it's not visible in operation
    • Replacement is a snap, but looks are unaffected
  • Boss imperfections in the casting are duplicated to represent the casting capabilities of the kickstart era
  • Cover is clearanced for the use of a large throw-out bearing and the kicker shaft bushing
    • No more grinding away material and test fitting
  • As close to original as you can get from a reproduction part appearance-wise
  • Clutch arm bushings are reamed and ready for install
  • Kicker bushings are reamed
    • Due to kick shaft diameter variance, the seal may need to be removed, the bushing reamed to size, and the seal replaced; a new seal may be required
  • 100% CNC-machined to achieve quality S&S standards
