These are direct bolt-in replacements for factory calipers. Harley-Davidsons from this era often feature braided OEM lines, floating discs, and name-brand hydraulics, but the feel can be off due to poor bore ratios. Fix the weak parts of the system with calipers that eliminate the problem. If you want a noticeable brake upgrade without having to redesign the whole system yourself, Ness Tech calipers should be on your short list.
