Steel is better than aluminum

Bought these to replace a set of aftermarket aluminum risers for a Victory Highball. The steel bolts stripped the threads out of the aluminum body DURING a ride with my young son on the back. These risers saved the day with all steel construction. I had to remove the paint on the inside surface in contact with the bars. A piece of sandpaper over a metal broom handle fits perfectly to remove the paint. This gives a strong metal-to-metal connection with the bars. Once everything is tightened down the bars felt very secure. Even with 14” apes providing a lot of leverage they hold well enough to pull me up to stand on the pegs. Steel rules, aluminum sucks.
