The classic Cobra saddle never goes out of style, and for good reason—they look great and don't compromise function. (Not too much, anyway.)
Inexpensive saddles often are built upon polymer seat pans. When the pan flexes, the foam moves out from underneath the rider, leaving one with inadequate cushion. It may sound counterintuitive, but a firm pan is just the ticket for comfort.
This cobra seat is handmade in the USA. It's built upon a solid steel pan for that aforementioned comfort and for longevity. The seat is then amply padded with foam, covered, and carpeted. The carpet protects your bike and the carefully selected foam protects your derriere from the rigors of a long ride. The cover is hand-stitched in your choice of two great-looking, classic designs that look right at home on a traditional chopper.
If you're torn between the good looks of a solo seat and the practicality of a full two-up seat, the Cobra might be the happy medium. It can blend right in to the lines of your Harley-Davidson, but also has a substantial enough pillion area for a short hop here and there. Comfort's not the main priority with any rigid-mount seat on a hardtail, but the extra length does allow you to move fore and aft to some degree or another for relief on those really long trips. The payoff, of course, is having a nice, low seat that doesn't draw the eye from the lines of your hardtail and fender.
