TC Bros. Rear Crash Bars for 2009-Up Harley-Davidson Touring

There are quite a few reasons your motorcycle might not have crash protection at the rear.

  • We use the thickest material on the market—brackets are 1/4" CNC-laser cut steel and tubing is .120" thick-wall DOM steel
  • Replaceable CNC-machined Delrin® sliders allow motorcycles to slide along the pavement, helping prevent barrel-rolling
  • Durable powder coat finish
  • Designed to function as an alternate position foot rest for increased comfort on long rides
  • Includes all required hardware and instructions for a simple installation
  • Made proudly in the USA

Many motorcycles came from the factory without rear guards as standard equipment. If you've purchased a used motorcycle, it's quite possible a rider removed the guards in search of a sleeker look. And there's always the unfortunate possibility your set has been through the wringer and need replacement.

This saddlebag guard, a sacrificial item, is designed to help prevent and mitigate expensive damage from occurring to your bags and tins in the event of an accident. Constructed of beefy steel and powder coated for a smart, durable appearance, these crash bars can help prevent delicate bags, side covers, fenders, and seats from the severe damage that can occur when a motorcycle goes down. In a more passive sense, they also guard the paint from boots of overzealous passengers.

After the initial impact, the Delrin® sliders provide a surface that reduces friction. In a loss-of-control event, this sliding is desirable; plain steel can "dig in" to pavement, causing the motorcycle to flip. The sliders are replaceable (P/N 103-0020), so minor mishaps come with minor costs. Installation is simple using basic hand tools and the included fasteners.

  • 2009-2023 Harley-Davidson Touring
  • Slight modification to brackets and bars may be required on some years and models; product instructions cover the minor drilling operations that are needed
