Moto Iron Starter Button Bypass Cover for Harley-Davidson 1991-2022

Many Harley-Davidsons equipped with Evolution engines (Sportster and Big Twin alike) and Twin Cams experience starter failure. Those failures can often be eliminated with this direct-actuation remote starter button that replaces the solenoid cover. It's also great for people looking to clean up the handlebar area and remove switches and wiring.

This direct solenoid actuator allows you to reach down and mechanically engage your solenoid to start your motorcycle. This elimination of the often relay-less OEM starter arrangement can increase reliability. The factory wiring scheme often uses the starter switch to carry many amps direct to the solenoid without a relay. This can cause failure of the switch, solenoid, or wiring, sometimes suddenly.

The actuator replaces your factory cover, and it installs quickly and easily. It's also perfect for those who are looking to ditch stock handlebar control clamshells and eliminate wiring. These are also popular with "in-the-know" riders who understand the drawbacks of the factory system but want to retain all their stock wiring, without the added excitement of being stranded without a way to start a motorcycle at some point.

Installation is easy; you just need to remove your solenoid cover and bolt this on in place using the included fasteners.
