Alto Clutch Steel Drive Plates for 1990-1997 Harley-Davidson Big Twin and 1991-2022 Sportster
If you're due for a clutch, why not do the job as completely and thoroughly as possible? Steels can and do warp and wear at the drive splines; replace 'em while you're in there.
- Made in USA
- 8 steels
- Part of any thorough, complete clutch service
- Meets or exceeds OEM specifications
These drive plates must be used in conjunction with an OEM spring plate (or equivalent). Another common solution is removal of the spring plate and replacing them with a sufficient amount of alternating friction plates and steels to bring the clutch stack height to factory specifications; note this may require purchasing two sets of plates and steels.
If you haven't yet pulled your bike apart, bikes that use this kit also use a judder spring in the middle of the clutch pack. The brass rivets that retain it are prone to wearing and coming loose. Rather than replacing it, installing one extra clutch plate and steel is a longstanding mechanical upgrade. Learn a little more in our blog about your options if you're replacing a clutch.
