This set of bayonet-style gas caps has bayonets set at two different depths as found on OEM Harley-Davidson fat bob gas tanks from 1965 to 1982.

Non-vented cap is for jiffy-stand side tank and features a deep bayonet

These caps are suitable for fat bob tanks that use different caps for each tank (non-interchangeable). This set will not fit 1936-1964 tanks (and many OEM tanks) that use the same vented early-style cap on both sides of the tank; if your tanks' caps can be switched side-to-side please order two vented fuel caps.

This gas cap set is compatible with:

All Harley-Davidson OE or aftermarket fuel tank sets requiring both a vented and non-vented bayonet-style cap
The external styling is the same as 1973-1982 caps, but these are physically compatible with tanks up to E1996

It is incompatible with:

Dual tanks equipped with screw-in style fillers

A quick and easy check to see if this cap set will work with your tanks is to install any bayonet-type Harley-Davidson fuel cap on both filler necks. If the same cap (regardless of what it is) fits both sides, this cap set is not compatible with your tanks. If your fuel cap fits only one side, regardless of which side, this set is correct.
