Installation requires relocation or removal of your stock ignition switch. The simplest way to eliminate the switch is to request your servicing dealer program your ECU with a "CVO Ignition Flash."

This is a common modification usually performed quickly and inexpensively by the dealership. If you do not plan on relocating your ignition switch, please verify with your servicing Harley-Davidson dealer that this procedure can be performed. (It is possible to have the programming performed before installation of this adapter and handlebar, so you don't need to have your bike down longer than necessary.)

Removal or relocation of the ignition switch will also remove the fork lock function. If you own a 2006-2013 Street Glide and would like to swap risers but maintain OEM ignition switch functionality, a kit to do so is also available.
