TC Bros. Featured Customer Ride - Steve Miller

TC Bros. Customer Rides – a photo album dedicated to the fabrication ingenuity and creativity of our customers and featuring their rides they've shared with us.

Sent to us from Steve Miller of Sturgis, Michigan.

In his own words:

“This was a stock 1977 XS 650 when I started and was a nice winter project last year.  The reason I chose an XS for my build is that the first bike I bought when I got out of the Army in 1971 was a 1972 XS650.  Late in the summer of '72 I got rear-ended on that bike. I put the bike back on the road with a little custom work and then in 1974. I cut the frame in half and welded a hardtail on just like the bikes today.  That one had a custom paint job, lots of chrome and an 8" over front end.

The 1977 is sort of a throwback to that particular bike and that era in my life.  The hardtail, rear fender, tank, tail light and regulator are all TC Bros. components. The luggage rack, fender struts, brake pivot, battery box, tail light mount and brackets were all machined in my shop. The frame, tank and fenders were all sand-blasted and powder-coated locally. Build time was 6 months.“
