TC Bros. Featured Customer Ride - Kyle Vail
TC Bros. Customer Rides – a series dedicated to the fabrication ingenuity and creativity of our customers and featuring their rides they've shared with us.
Sent to us from Kyle Vaill from Torrington, Connecticut.
In his own words:
“Born and raised in Torrington Connecticut. I work as a welder at Ram Specialty Fab in Naugatuck, CT.
I started riding real young thanks to my grandfather. My ’76 XS650 was given to me by my uncle. It sat in his basement for many years before I got my hands on it - it was in rough shape. I took it home, got it running and then it was game on from there.
I started by tearing it all down and hard-tailed it with a TC Bros. weld on kit. I also used TC Bros. tank, forward controls, fake oil tank, wiring harness and many other parts. I built the bars, seat pan and battery box myself. The rear fender is actually the stock front. I also fabbed a chain link fender strut to hold the fender.
The bike was painted by my good friend Mark at Hitman Custom Motorcycles and it’s a big hit. It has very heavy flake in it which is awesome in the sun. Everything else was done by me - fabrication, welding, powder coating, aluminum polishing and motor rebuild. It took about a year and a half to build. I had so much fun building this bike and was actually quite bummed when i finished it. Can’t wait to build another.
Thanks TC Bros for all the badass parts!!!... and thanks for all the support during the build - I called you guys about a thousand times. Haha!”
