TC Bros. Featured Customer Ride - David Morrisette
TC Bros. Customer Rides – a series dedicated to the fabrication ingenuity and creativity of our customers and featuring their rides they've shared with us.
Sent to us from David Morrisette of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
In his own words:
“Hello first off I would like to thank you for taking an interest in my bike. I'm from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis.
I’m a welder/fabricator at a diesel shop. I bought the bike 200 dollars as a basket case that had been sitting since the early 90s. After tearing the engine down and refreshing everything, chopped it all down to the loop and started building. My goal was to build as many parts as possible myself, by hand.
The electronics holder is two fire extinguishers cut and welded back together. Built my own battery box. Used half a mid mount for the rear fender support. Got rid of all the old electronics reg/rectifier and went with a combo off a later model.
Pipes are stock just past the mid - a little help from the local hot rod shop for a cool angle for the up sweeps. Welded them together, cleaned them up, strapped them on.
Also had some help from TC Bros. with the hardtail kit, seat and seat springs. Most everything else besides the stock item's and the gas tank I built myself. Took about 5 months of weekends to get it all together.
Thanks again guys.
